What are the opening hours at H Spa?

Monday – Sunday

Pool facilities: 8am – 8pm (Children’s Under 16s Swim Times 9-10am and 4-7pm only)

Gym facilities: 6.30am – 9pm 

Treatment times 9am – 5pm 

Children’s Swim Times – 9am – 10am | 4pm – 7pm

H Spa Terms and conditions

The spa at Horwood House Hotel Ltd reserves the right to alter your treatment times if necessary.

Please note that your treatment time includes medical consultation, set up and your chosen treatment.

We request that mobile phones are kept on silent or switched off in the spa. Laptops and tablets are not allowed within the spa facilities. 

We are happy to relay any messages via the Spa reception.

No photography is permitted in the changing areas and we ask that any other photographs taken do not include any other guests outside of your own party.

You may be required to remove jewellery for treatments; we advise that you choose to leave jewellery at home.

HSpa or Horwood House Hotel Ltd will not be liable, under any circumstances whatsoever, for damage, injury or consequential loss, however caused, to our customers, their property and belongings unless it is solely due to the negligence of the Company, its employees or agents.

Offers cannot be used in conjunction with one another and are subject to availability.

Please note guests suffering from any heart conditions, high blood pressure or are pregnant will be unable to use any of our heat experiences.

Booking Process

When making your spa day booking our spa team will let you know what times we have available for your treatments and any dining elements. If you are booking through a third party or have booked a spa stay online then our spa team will give you a call prior to your arrival date to arrange your treatments and dining times, alternatively you can give us a call or email and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred times.

If you would like to make use of our double treatment room, please make this request when booking as this is subject to availability on a first come first served basis.

Payment Methods

Fees are inclusive of VAT on treatments as listed.  Extra treatments will be charged at the applicable rates.

Pre-booked additional treatments will be charged at the applicable rates on the date of booking.

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

What happens when I arrive for my Spa Day?

On arrival please come to the main hotel reception (this is no longer the main manor house building, please follow the signs to the right), a member of our team will guide you to our H Spa Reception. Here you will be checked in, provided with your towel, robe and slippers and given your welcome drink or arrival refreshments if this is included in your package. You will also be given a tour of the facilities if you wish. Please return to the Spa Reception or Spa Lounge 10-15minutes prior to your treatment for our Therapist to collect you. Your lunch or afternoon tea will be served within the Spa Lounge unless an alternate location is specified. Robes need to be returned to spa reception at the end of your day. Please keep your slippers with our complements.

What happens when I arrive for my treatment?

On the day of your treatment please arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment so you can complete a consultation form. You will be welcomed by one of our team and provided with a towel, robe and slippers and given a tour of the spa facility.

What should I wear during my treatment?

Your therapist will specify what to wear for your treatment during your consultation.

Is food & drink allowed on poolside?

Food is only to be consumed within the spa lounge however you are welcome to take your own drink on poolside within a plastic water bottle.

What are the spa day & treatment booking terms and conditions?

All spa day packages and treatments require full prepayment at time of booking. Cancellation Policy – Treatments and day spa bookings cancelled within 72 hours or non-attendance will incur a 100% cancellation charge. Group bookings of four or more cancelled within 2 weeks or non-attendance will incur a 100% cancellation charge. 

COVID POLICY – Until the 21st February 2022, if you are unable to attend your spa day or treatment due to a positive covid test and isolation requirements your booking is transferrable on a discretionary basis with 24 hours notice. Any bookings cancelled within 24 hours incur a 100% cancellation charge.

Any changes to this policy is expressly at the General Manager’s discretion.

What is your Covid-19 Policy?

As we finally see hospitality getting back to some normality some things are still a little different to keep you safe. 

Naturally, we will be continuing with our strict cleaning regimes and we have allowed for longer cleaning times between treatments. Although it’s no longer a legal requirement to wear a mask indoors, the safety of our customers and staff is hugely important to us, therefore our staff will remain wearing masks until further notice. We have placed hand sanitisers throughout the hotel for your convenience and safety.

Can I bring my children for treatments and to use the facilities?

Our spa packages are available for over 16s only. 16 & 17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult over 18 within the spa areas and gym and have a limited treatment menu including a 25 minute Vinosource Facial, 25 minute Manicure or 25 minute Pedicure (non-gel) only. 

Children (under 16) swim times are between 9am – 10am and 4pm – 7pm each day for members and residents.

I am Pregnant, what treatments can I have? Can I use all the facilities?

We have a sumptuous pre-natal massage available for guests over 12 weeks pregnant as well as nail treatments, these are available from the 2nd May 2022.

 

As a precaution these Caudalie products are contraindicated: We do not recommend products with essential oils or non-rinced products with fragrance . Therefore this list of products is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding : the Beauty Elixir, the whole Vinopure range, the Purifying Mask, the Instant Detox Mask, the Vine[Activ] Overnight Detox Oil, the Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil, the Crush cabernet and the Contouring Concentrate.

 

If you have the slightest doubt, we recommend that you consult your doctor, who is best qualified to inform you. 

 

Please note guests who are pregnant are not able to use our steam room or sauna.

We ask that where possible you raise these at the time of your visit to enable the team to respond to you in a timely manner. Health and Wellbeing

We want you to enjoy your experience at H Spa and ask you to inform us of anything you think we should be aware of, such as pregnancy, allergies etc.  This will allow us to recommend treatments that are most suitable for you. We will ask you to complete a short medical questionnaire to ensure that treatments are safe and appropriate.
